Dark midnight-purple in the glass. Vibrant plum and freshly picked blackberries jump from the glass, with supporting flavors of mint, tobacco leaf, licorice, allspice, and vanilla. Warm and inviting on the palate, with mulberry jam, espresso, and toasted rye bread. The finish gives an impression of firm yet integrated tannins. Long finish with gently torched herbs, black tea, and milk chocolate. Showing fabulously in its youth, but with plenty of time to develop in the cellar.
